CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />3rd Ave Water Quality Facility Division B – BID DESCRIPTIONS September 20, 2024 <br />WO No. – UP 3775 SP - 20 <br /> <br />The unit price of storm drain pipe shall also include, but not be limited to; all costs for trench <br />excavation; hauling and disposing of surplus material; dewatering; storm water flow <br />bypassing; furnishing, stockpiling, hauling placing and compacting of suitable pipe bedding <br />material; cleaning and flushing pipes and existing structures; testing and inspecting pipe; <br />pipe separation pads; and reconnecting existing storm drains. <br />All costs associated with abandoning existing storm drainage pipe as indicated on the plans <br />including plugging and/or removal and disposal shall be included in the unit price for this bid <br />item. <br /> Catch Basin Type 1L <br />Measurement and Payment per " Bid Item 21 - Catch Basin, Type 2, 48 In. Diam.” <br /> Catch Basin Type 1L W/Overflow <br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA) <br />The unit price per each for the inlet or the type and size of catch basin shall be full <br />compensation for all labor, material, incidentals, tools and equipment necessary to <br />satisfactorily complete the work as defined in these Contract Documents. <br />The unit price for each inlet and catch basin shall be full compensation for furnishing, hauling, <br />and assembling in place the completed installation including inlets, catch basins, frames and <br />grates, adjustment sections, pipe connections, special fittings, and joint materials up to a <br />depth of 10-ft as measured from the flowline of the outlet pipe to the surface of the Work <br />measured to the nearest foot. <br />The unit price shall include installation of the beehive grate in accordance with the Plans. <br />The unit price for each inlet and catch basin shall also include, but not be limited to, all costs <br />for excavation; hauling and disposing of surplus or unsuitable material; dewatering, storm <br />water flow bypassing, furnishing and installing couplings; furnishing and installing steps or <br />ladder; placing and compacting of suitable bedding below structures; furnishing, placing, and <br />compacting foundation material as required; cleaning and flushing catch basins; and <br />reconnecting existing storm drainage connections. <br />All costs associated with abandoning, and/or removing and disposing of existing catch basins <br />and inlets, salvaging frame and grate or cover, as shown on the plans shall be included in <br />the unit price for this bid item. <br />Adjusting new catch basin inlets to final grade is incidental and shall be included in the unit <br />price for this bid item. <br />The cost of connection of pipes, including existing pipes, to the inlet or catch basin is <br />incidental and shall be included in the unit price for this bid item. <br />Measurement and payment shall be per each catch basin inlet installed as measured upon <br />completion. <br /> <br /> Catch Basin, Type 2, 48 In.
