O Fire Flow Requirements(Fire Hydrants) <br /> Code Requirement: <br /> The fire flow requirements are determined by the Everett Fire Department and <br /> Appendix B of the International Fire Code.The Public Works Department will evaluate <br /> whether the existing system will meet that requirement or if system improvements are <br /> required. Design and construction of water distribution system improvement necessary <br /> to meet minimum fire flow requirements for a proposed development shall be the <br /> responsibility of the developer or owner of the proposed development.The flow rate of <br /> a water supply, measured at 20 pounds per square inch (psi) residual pressure,that is <br /> available for firefighting. <br /> FIRE PROTECTION AND LIFE SAFETY SYSTEMS: <br /> EJ Automatic Fire Sprinkler System <br /> Code Requirement: <br /> An approved automatic fire sprinkler system is required for this project as per the <br /> International Fire Code and/or Everett Municipal Codes 16.03. <br /> O Automatic Fire Alarm System <br /> Code Requirement: <br /> An approved automatic fire alarm system is required for this project as per the <br /> International Fire Code and/or Everett Municipal Codes 16.03. <br /> City of Everett Public Works Department Comments: Sabrina Good;sgood@everettwa.gov <br /> A review of this project by the Engineering/Permit Services Division indicates that the following <br /> conditions shall be met: <br /> 1. Construction permits, inspections and final approvals are required for this project from City of <br /> Everett Permit Services. <br /> 2. A Public Works Permit is required for this project. Detailed drawings in accordance with the current <br /> City of Everett Design and Construction Standards and Specifications for Development shall be <br /> submitted to the Public Works Department, showing site grading, paving, landscaping, utilities, <br /> storm drainage,temporary construction erosion and sedimentation control (TESC), and all required <br /> improvements in the public right-of-way. Public Works Department approval of these drawings is <br /> required prior to any permits being issued. All improvements shall be completed, approved, and <br /> warranted before the Occupancy Permit is issued/final approval is granted. <br /> 3. The construction plans must be designed from a site survey performed by a licensed State of <br /> Washington land surveyor. <br /> 4. Temporary erosion and sedimentation control (TESC) measures for construction activity must be <br /> operational prior to commencement of any clearing or earthwork. An approved permit and SWPPP <br /> for this work is required prior to set-up of TESC measures on-site.
