Page 23 of 59 <br /> <br />City of Everett Merrill & Ring Bridge Replacement <br />WORK ELEMENT 5 BRIDGE AESTHETICS <br /> <br />This Work Element is performed by HBB Landscape Architecture to provide Bridge Aesthetics <br />design. The following outlines the tasks associated with this work: <br />5.1 Project Management <br />a. Contract administration, invoicing, and schedule updates. <br />5.2 Concept Design for Urban Design Elements <br />b. Review engineering work, site constraints, existing City policies and activities relevant to <br />the project. Assist as requested regarding street configuration and relationship to <br />adjacent properties. Meet with Staff and Consultant Team to discuss opportunities, <br />constraints and ideas. Follow-up with selected Staff and team members as needed. <br />c. Generally, follow the Aesthetics provided for the Edgewater Bridge to create an overall <br />consistency in the Bridge Aesthetics while allowing some variation for community input <br />and neighborhood-specific context. <br />d. Assist EnviroIssues with public open house. (Event time only) <br />e. Review results of the open house with the Staff/CONSULTANT team. <br />f. Prepare 30% design level quantity estimate and opinion of cost estimate. <br /> <br />5.3 60% Design for Urban Design Elements <br />Prepare 60% Design for Urban Design Elements. Working with City staff and the design team, <br />perform the following tasks: <br />a. Review with engineering team and staff. (one meeting) <br />b. Prepare 60% design level drawings and update quantity estimate and opinion of cost <br />estimate. <br />c. Prepare 60% design level specifications. <br />5.4 90% Design for Urban Design Elements <br />Prepare 90% documents for urban elements. Working with City staff and the design team, <br />perform the following tasks: <br />a. Refine design alternatives as developed in the 60% submittal phase to the 90% level. <br />b. Review 90% work with City/engineering team. (one meeting) <br />c. Prepare 90% design level drawings and update quantity estimate and opinion of cost <br />estimate. <br />d. Prepare 90% design-level specifications. <br />5.5 100% & Ad-Ready Design for Urban Design Elements <br />Prepare 100% and Ad-Ready documents for urban elements. Working with City staff and the <br />design team, perform the following tasks: <br />a. Refine design alternatives as developed in the 90% submittal phase to the 100% level.
