<br />Fulton Street Pedestrian Bicycle Corridor PAGE 56 OF 114 CONTRACT <br />FEDERAL AID # TAP-0420(026) <br />WO #3785 September 6, 2024 <br /> <br />F1-07.23(1).OPT5.DOCX 1 <br />(February 6, 2023) 2 <br />Lane, ramp, shoulder, and roadway closures are subject to the following restrictions: 3 <br /> 4 <br />*** Fulton St – Pacific Ave to Hewitt Ave 5 <br />Street closures will be allowed for up to one half block for up to 14 days. 6 <br />One business access on the west side shall remain open at all times. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Fulton St – Hewitt Ave to California St 9 <br />Street closures will be allowed for grinding and paving operations for up 10 <br />to a total of 3 days. The street will be open to traffic at night unless 11 <br />paving operations begin the morning following the completion of 12 <br />grinding operations. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Other 15 <br />All construction activity that blocks access to private property shall be 16 <br />coordinated with the Engineer five (5) days prior. At that time, contractor 17 <br />shall also provide notification of access limitation to the affected 18 <br />property owner(s) 19 <br />*** 20 <br /> 21 <br />If the Engineer determines the permitted closure hours adversely affect traffic, the 22 <br />Engineer may adjust the hours accordingly. The Engineer will notify the Contractor 23 <br />in writing of any change in the closure hours. Exceptions to these restrictions are 24 <br />listed below and when applicable take precedence over closures listed above. The 25 <br />Engineer may also consider on a case-by-case basis additional exceptions following 26 <br />a written request by the Contractor. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Lane, ramp, shoulder, and roadway closures are not allowed on any of the following: 29 <br /> 30 <br />1. A holiday, 31 <br /> 32 <br />2. A holiday weekend; holidays that occur on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or 33 <br />Monday are considered a holiday weekend. A holiday weekend includes 34 <br />Saturday, Sunday, and the holiday. 35 <br /> 36 <br />3. After *** 10:00 pm *** on the day prior to a holiday or holiday weekend, and 37 <br /> 38 <br />4. Before *** 7:00 am *** on the day after the holiday or holiday weekend. 39 <br /> 40 <br /> 41 <br />It shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to obtain the dates and times of all 42 <br />events. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Traffic Delays 45 <br />When Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (AFADs) or flaggers are used to 46 <br />control traffic, traffic shall not be stopped for more than *** 20 *** minutes at any time. 47 <br />All traffic congestion shall be allowed to clear before traffic is delayed again. 48 <br /> 49 <br />If the delay becomes greater than *** 20 *** minutes, the Contractor shall immediately 50 <br />begin to take action to cease the operations that are causing the delays.
