8-01.2 Materials <br /> Section 8-01.2 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 8-01.2(1) Temporary Silt Fence <br /> (New Section) <br /> Section 8-01.2(1) is added to the Contract Special Provisions. <br /> Geotextile for temporary silt fence shall meet the requirements of Section 9-33.2, <br /> Table 6. <br /> 8-01.2(2) Topsoil <br /> (New Section) <br /> Section 8-01.2(2) is added to the Contract Special Provisions. <br /> Topsoil shall be Type A as specified in Section 9-14.1 as amended in the Special <br /> Provisions. <br /> 8-01.3(1) General <br /> Section 8-01.3(1) is supplemented with the following: <br /> Sediment ponds and traps, filter fences, straw bale barriers, or other sedimentation <br /> and erosion control measures, as required, shall be constructed as a first step in <br /> grading and shall be functional before land-disturbing activities take place. <br /> The Contractor shall construct and install all temporary and permanent erosion <br /> areas and sedimentation control measures and shall fully stabilize all graded and <br /> disturbed areas in accordance with the Contract Drawings, Specifications and as <br /> directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall minimize and limit construction <br /> operations to areas within the right of way and temporary construction easements <br /> as shown on the Contract Drawings, and shall revegetate any areas disturbed by <br /> construction outside these areas at the Engineer's direction and the Contractor's <br /> sole expense. <br /> During construction, the Contractor shall maintain adequate drainage conveyance <br /> features downstream of the construction area to provide controlled conveyance of <br /> runoff. The Contractor shall be fully responsible for damage to existing or <br /> constructed features as a result of failure to provide proper construction period <br /> drainage features. <br /> 8-01.3(1)A Submittals <br /> Section 8-01.3(1)A is supplemented with the following: <br /> Prior to beginning construction and within ten (10) days of Notice to Proceed, the <br /> Contractor shall prepare and submit to the Engineer for approval a Spill <br /> Alderwood Water&Wastewater District <br /> W2301 Trans Main 1 &2 Valve Replacement 9-01/2 Contract No. W2301 <br /> October 2023 <br />
