Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan in accordance with Section 1- <br /> 07.15 as amended in the Special Provisions. <br /> The Contractor shall submit a Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan <br /> (SWPPP). The SWPPP is a document that reflects the specific practices, physical <br /> structures, and Contract Drawings on the construction site that will prevent <br /> discharges of turbid or polluted stormwater to waters of the state. The SWPPP <br /> shall be prepared to the format and content prescribed by the Washington State <br /> Department of Ecology (DOE) for use with the Construction Stormwater General <br /> Permit. Additional information, including a template for preparing the SWPPP, can <br /> be obtained through the DOE website at the following web address: <br /> http://www.ecV.wa.gov/programs/wq/stormwater/construction/. The SWPPP is a <br /> "living" document that must be updated during the project whenever there is a <br /> change in design, construction, operation, or maintenance at the construction site <br /> that has, or could have, a significant effect on the discharge of pollutants to waters <br /> of the state. <br /> 8-01.3(2)F Dates for Application of Final Seed, Fertilizer and Mulch <br /> The following is added at the end of Section 8-01.3(2)F: <br /> The Contractor shall prepare and seed areas that are completed or partially <br /> completed within 72 hours when directed by the Engineer. Completed or partially <br /> completed areas that are seeded at the Engineer's direction will be measured for <br /> payment in accordance with Section 2-11 as amended in the Special Provisions. <br /> Areas seeded at the Engineer's direction that are subsequently disturbed to <br /> complete the work shall be reseeded. The reseeded areas will be measured for <br /> payment in accordance with Section 2-11 as amended in the Special Provisions. <br /> 8-01.3(9)A Silt Fence <br /> Section 8-01.3(9)A is supplemented with the following: <br /> Temporary silt fence geotextile at the bottom of the fence shall be buried in a trench <br /> to a minimum of 4 inches below the ground surface and be backfilled with native, <br /> except as directed by the Engineer. <br /> 8-01.3(9)D Inlet Protection <br /> Section 8-01.3(9)D is supplemented with the following: <br /> Inlet protection shall be installed at each catch basin located downstream from any <br /> construction activity. Inlet protection shall be installed and maintained such that all <br /> flow, up to at least 25 gpm, entering the catch basin passes through the device. <br /> Where a below inlet grate device is used, the device shall contain overflow capacity <br /> such that the catch basin will not overflow. <br /> Alderwood Water&Wastewater District <br /> W2301 Trans Main 1 &2 Valve Replacement 9-01/3 Contract No. W2301 <br /> October 2023 <br />
