All dissimilar metals to be separated by paint coat to avoid electrolytic reaction. <br /> MM.All stainless and copper metal field fabricated seams are to be soldered unless seam is <br /> indicated to be an expansion joint. <br /> NN. Pre-finished galvanized or aluminum metals are to be sealed using approved sealant joints. <br /> 00.All metal fabrications are to be completed using the latest SMACNA or copper and common- <br /> sense methods to resemble the construction details. Hem all metal edges. <br /> PP. All roof curbs are to meet the minimum flashing height requirements pre-approved by the new <br /> roof system manufacturer for the special project warranty. All required disconnections, <br /> reconnections and capping of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment is to be <br /> completed in a safe working condition and shall be performed by a contractor licensed to <br /> perform the specified or indicated work. <br /> QQ.All mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work to be performed by a licensed trade contractor <br /> within the jurisdiction of the contract facility's address. <br /> RR. Temporarily remove all roof top equipment resting on roof surface or on existing equipment <br /> pads. Reinstall over walkpads, or raised to an alternative support curb, as shown in the contract <br /> plans when roofing work is complete. <br /> SS. All security cameras, if any, must remain operational during the new roof installation. <br /> TT. All lightning protection, if any, must remain intact during construction. Any dismantling of the <br /> cabling may require the contractor to re-certify the LP loop. Contractor is required to provide a <br /> photo catalogue of the existing conditions prior to commencement of work. <br /> UU. All roof drains, wall drains, exterior ground leaders and scuppers must be water tested prior to <br /> commencement or mobilization for roof construction. The owner/consultant must be notified <br /> immediately of any drains or ground leaders found to be clogged. Contractor must document all <br /> testing and provide confirmation that all drains are clear prior to commencement of the new roof <br /> contract work. <br /> VV. Inspect all heater stacks (b-vents) and replace defective/ rusted piping above the roof with new <br /> 302/304 stainless steel insulated units to fit existing extensions. <br /> WW. All roof top condenser units are to be secured to the existing or new roof curbs in <br /> accordance with new FM Global requirements for roof top wind securement. <br /> XX. All HVAC and RTU curbs, ductwork, electrical penetrations, and gas supports shall be adjusted <br /> to accommodate the new roof insulation thickness. All roof curbs shall meet a minimum vertical <br /> height above finished roof, acceptable to the manufacturer, unless approved in writing by <br /> roofing manufacturer and design consultant. <br /> YY. Plumbing: Contractor is to verify that all drains, scuppers, and downspouts as applicable to the <br /> project work area are operational and free flowing. Contractor is to submit documentation of all <br /> existing plumbing/drainage conditions prior to the start of the project. Contractor is to identify <br /> any damaged plumbing equipment prior to construction and submit RFI for direction. Restore <br /> existing system and equipment to operational condition. <br /> 1. New no-hub roof Z-100 drains or equal will be designed to replace the existing aged roof <br /> drains as needed. The existing units may be determined to be acceptable after the <br /> contractor completes a thorough water test to insure the integrity of the plumbing units. <br /> The current adopted building code which may require overflow scuppers for new roof <br /> installations. Contractor to verify with local authorities. <br /> 2.
