SECTION 02 4119 <br /> SELECTIVE DEMOLITION <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.01 RELATED SECTIONS <br /> A. General Provisions, Terms and Conditions, Special Provisions, other Division 1 Specifications <br /> Sections and Drawings apply to this Section. <br /> 1.02 SUMMARY <br /> A. Section Includes: <br /> 1. Owner will coordinate with the MEP contractor for all disconnect and reconnection of the <br /> RTU's required to be raised. <br /> 2. Remove existing collector heads. <br /> 3. Remove existing smoke vents/skylights. <br /> 4. Remove existing roof hatch. <br /> 5. Remove/demolish abandoned equipment and penetrations and properly fill in decking and <br /> patch roof with materials in like kind. <br /> 6. Remove and dispose of existing base flashing and cant strip at parapet walls. <br /> 7. Remove and dispose of existing base flashing and cant strip at curbs. <br /> 8. Remove existing wood pipe/conduit supports and wood sleepers. <br /> 9. Salvage existing items to be reused or recycled. <br /> B. Related Requirements: <br /> 1. Section 01 1000 "Summary"for restrictions on use of the premises, PROLOGIS, L.P. <br /> tenant-occupancy requirements, and phasing requirements. <br /> 2. Section 06 1000 Rough Carpentry <br /> 1.03 DEFINITIONS <br /> A. Remove: Detach items from existing construction and legally dispose of them off-site unless <br /> indicated to be removed and salvaged or removed and reinstalled. <br /> B. Remove and Salvage: Carefully detach from existing construction, in a manner to prevent <br /> damage, and deliver to Owner ready for reuse. <br /> C. Remove and Reinstall: Detach items from existing construction, prepare for reuse, and reinstall <br /> where indicated. <br /> D. Existing to Remain: Existing items of construction that are not to be permanently removed and <br /> that are not otherwise indicated to be removed, removed, and salvaged, or removed and <br /> reinstalled. <br /> 1.04 PREINSTALLATION MEETINGS <br /> A. Pre-demolition Conference: Conduct conference at Project site. <br /> 1. Inspect and discuss condition of construction to be selectively demolished. <br /> 2. Review structural load limitations of existing structure. <br /> 3. Review and finalize selective demolition schedule and verify availability of materials, <br /> demolition personnel, equipment, and facilities needed to make progress and avoid <br /> delays. <br /> 4. Review requirements of work performed by other trades that rely on substrates exposed <br /> by selective demolition operations. <br /> 5. Review areas where existing construction is to remain and requires protection. <br /> 1.05 INFORMATIONAL SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Qualification Data: Contractor to submit current certifications for refrigerant recovery technician. <br /> B.
