E. Design requirements specified in this Section shall supersede the roofing manufacturer's <br /> minimum requirements unless they are more stringent than stipulated herein. <br /> 1.06 SUBMITTALS: <br /> A. General: Provide submittals in accordance with the provisions of Section 013000 Administrative <br /> Requirements. <br /> B. Submittals shall include but are not limited to the following documents: Manufacturer's System <br /> Letter, Product data, MSDS sheets, Spec Data Sheets, Manufacturer's Specifications <br /> requirements and standard details, Material samples, Shop drawings, Letters of Certification, <br /> test reports, and samples. <br /> 1.07 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br /> A. Applicator Qualifications: Firm shall specialize in the type of work being specified and shall be <br /> approved by the manufacturer of the roofing materials being used to install No Dollar Limit <br /> watertight roof guarantees. <br /> B. Source Limitations: Obtain components including roof insulation, fasteners, and accessories <br /> from the same manufacturer as the membrane roofing or as approved by the membrane roofing <br /> manufacturer. <br /> C. Testing and Certification: Membrane materials supplied to the project shall have been tested <br /> and certified that they meet the ASTM standards as specified and as advertised. The <br /> manufacturer shall submit a certification letter, signed by the manufacturer's Manager of <br /> Technical Services, to the owner with the shipment of the roof membrane materials, which <br /> indicate that the products supplied to the project meet the minimum ASTM standards as <br /> referenced herein. <br /> D. Pre-Bid Conference: All bidders shall attend the mandatory Pre-Bid site inspection at a date <br /> and time to be announced, in accordance with Section 01 2000 Administration and <br /> Coordination. <br /> E. Pre-Construction Conference: Before beginning work, a pre-construction conference shall be <br /> arranged by the roofing contractor to be held at the job site, in accordance with Section 01 <br /> 2000 Administration and Coordination. <br /> F. Record of Work: Keep record indicating temperature and moisture conditions and type and <br /> location of work being done during each day of roofing operations. <br /> G. Application: <br /> 1. Accomplish roofing work with supervisor, foreman, and mechanics thoroughly skilled in <br /> the application of the specified materials. Workmanship shall meet industry standards and <br /> shall fulfill the requirements of the Contract Documents. Follow specific directions <br /> published by the manufacturer, regarding application of their roofing materials. Do not <br /> deviate from the manufacturer's published instructions without prior written approval from <br /> the consultant and owner's representative. After starting Work, the contractor shall be <br /> responsible for complete moisture integrity of roofing and flashing membrane, and for <br /> providing properly applied roofing materials and accessories. <br /> 2. Contractor shall check all welded seams for"cold welds" using a rounded screwdriver or <br /> other suitable probing tool. Contractor shall also perform test cuts at seams, each time <br /> the automatic welder is turned on prior to commencing heat welding of the membrane <br /> sheets or a minimum of 3 each day. Each sample shall be approximately 1"wide by 3" <br /> long. Patch test cuts with reinforced membrane to match the field sheet. Identify and save <br /> samples for the inspector's review. Areas that fail to perform a "pull test", shall be stripped <br /> in. <br /> H.
