SECTION 07 7210 <br /> ROOF ACCESSORIES <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.01 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Drawings and General Provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br /> Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section. <br /> 1.02 SUMMARY <br /> A. This Section specifies requirements for the following Scope of Work: <br /> 1. Provide roof accessory components as indicated on the Drawings. <br /> 2. Replacement of all conduit, gas line and condensate line roof supports with new pre- <br /> manufactured units as specified below. <br /> 3. Provide new roof/ rail curbs for blowers and AC units above the finished roof in <br /> accordance with the specifications below. <br /> 4. Replacement of existing aged or damaged Skylights and Smoke Vents. <br /> 5. Replacement of roof hatch with new roof hatch and curb mounted safety guardrails. <br /> 1.03 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Product Data: For each type of roof accessory indicated. <br /> B. Shop Drawings: Show fabrication and installation details for snow rail system and roof <br /> accessories. <br /> C. Manufacturer Installation Instructions: For each product identified in Part 2. <br /> D. With bid proposal, contractor shall submit a facsimile of the manufacturer's guarantee terms <br /> and conditions. <br /> E. Spec Data Sheets for accessories proposed. <br /> 1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Applicator: Shall specialize in the type of work being specified and shall be approved by the <br /> manufacturer of the accessories being installed. <br /> B. Manufacturer: Company specializing in the manufacture of specified roof accessories with a <br /> minimum of five (5) years of documented experience. Provide single manufacturer for skylight/ <br /> smoke vent units. <br /> C. Pre-Construction Conference: Before beginning work, a pre-construction conference shall be <br /> arranged by the roofing contractor to be held at the job site, in accordance with Section 012000 <br /> Administration and Coordination. <br /> D. Fabrication: Comply with ANSI /AAMA 1600 for standards of performance and fabrication of <br /> plastic glazed smoke vents and skylights. Label each unit with AAMA/WDMA 1600/I.S.7-00 <br /> Voluntary Specification for Skylights. <br /> E. Application: <br /> 1. Accomplish work with supervisor, foreman, and mechanics thoroughly skilled in the <br /> application of the specified materials. Workmanship shall meet industry standards and <br /> shall fulfill the requirements of the Contract Documents. <br /> 2. Follow specific directions published by the manufacturer, regarding application of their <br /> products. Do not deviate from the manufacturer's published instructions without prior <br /> written approval from the consultant and owner's representative. <br /> 3. After starting Work, the contractor shall be responsible for complete moisture integrity of <br /> the roofing and flashing membrane, and for providing properly applied roofing materials, <br /> flashings, and accessories. <br /> F.
