Uprights shall withstand a minimum concentrated load of 200 pounds (890 N) applied in a <br /> downward or outward direction. <br /> 3. Comply with manufacturer's recommendations and requirements. <br /> 4. Verify locations, dimensions, and substrate conditions before installation. <br /> 1.05 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br /> A. Coordinate the installation of roof accessories with the roofing and flashing for best possible <br /> integration of work, resulting in permanent waterproof construction. <br /> B. Field Measurements: Where horizontal rails and uprights are indicated to fit to other <br /> construction, check actual dimensions or other construction by accurate field measurements <br /> prior to ordering and/or installation; show recorded measurements on final shop drawings. <br /> C. Where field measurements cannot be made without delaying the system fabrication and <br /> delivery, obtain guaranteed dimensions in writing by the Contractor and proceed with <br /> fabrication of products to not delay fabrication, delivery, and installation. <br /> D. Coordinate fabrication and delivery schedule of handrails with construction progress and <br /> sequence to avoid delay of railing installation. <br /> 1.06 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br /> A. Deliver material in the manufacturer's original, unopened containers with manufacturer's labels <br /> intact and legible. <br /> B. Store materials so they are completely protected from damage from the elements and <br /> temperatures. <br /> C. When the ambient temperature drops below 500 Fahrenheit, caulking and adhesives shall be <br /> kept in a warm environment. Refer to appropriate specification section below. <br /> D. Protection: Contractor shall protect existing roofing from damage. Provide plywood to set units <br /> on roof prior to application. <br /> 1.07 WARRANTY <br /> A. Manufacturer's Warranty: Provide 5 year written warranty covering materials and <br /> installation. Include watertight condition. <br /> B. Contractor's Warranty: Upon completion of the work under this section, the contractor shall <br /> warrant and certify on the form provided within the construction documents, that the <br /> accessories executed under this section will be watertight and will be free from defects in <br /> materials and workmanship for a period of five (5)years from date of acceptance of the project, <br /> and that the contractor, at his/her own expense, will repair and/or replace all such defective <br /> work; and further, that he/she will assume full responsibility for repair and/or replacement of all <br /> other work which may become damaged as a result of such defective work during the warranty <br /> period. The Warranty shall be signed by an officer of the Installers Company. <br /> C. Contractor shall verify with the manufacturer for their requirements on acceptable substrates, <br /> products, and application procedures. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 SKYLIGHT AND SMOKE VENT UNITS <br /> A. SKYLIGHT: Basis of design shall be a 48"X 96" standard curb mounted, Sunoptics skylight, as <br /> manufactured by Sunoptics, an Acuity Brands Company, 6201 27th Street, Sacramento, CA <br /> 95822. <br /> B.
