R308.4.5. <br />Please see note on sheet A3.1 stating window to be safety glass. <br />3. See Sheet A2.1 and A3.1. East Elevations show existing windows to remain in master <br />closet and bedroom, but Main Floor Plan does not show windows to remain. R106.1.1. <br />Please see Sheet A2.1 and A3.1. A2.1 has been revised to show existing windows to be <br />removed and infilled with wall and insulation. Sheet A3.1 has also been revised to <br />show the existing windows to be removed. <br />4. Plans should specify a minimum 1/2" gypsum board covering in enclosed spaces under <br />stairs. R302.7 <br />Please see sheet A4.0 for enlarged stair plan, section with note to provide 1/2" GWB to <br />underside of stair and walls in that area. <br />5. See Sheet A2.1. It appears that a portion of the existing garage is being converted to <br />habitable space. New habitable space requires to comply with current residential code <br />and energy code requirements (WSEC R502.1). Plans should show how the space <br />complies with current energy code requirements. Note that the energy code requires the <br />floor slab to be insulated. See WSEC Table 402.1.1 for insulation requirements and <br />options for existing slabs. <br />Please see Sheet A2.1 and A4.0. See added note to Sheet A2.1 for perimeter slab <br />insulation at the new habitable space. See new note labeling new wall as 2x6 w/ R-21 <br />Batt insulation. Also see new section detail #10.
