Wiring: All wires, raceways, fittings, conductors, connectors, tape, junction and <br />outlet boxes, connectors, splices, and all other items necessary and/or required in <br />connection with such work. <br />11. Raceway: All raceways, conduit, fittings, hangers, supports, sleeves, etc. <br />1.3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Examine the Drawings, specifications and other Contract Documents relating to the Work <br />and the work of all trades and become fully informed as to the extent and character of work <br />required. Coordinate all work with that of others to ensure proper and complete installation <br />of all materials, equipment and supports. It is the intent of the drawings, specifications and <br />related contract Documents to provide a complete working installation of all systems and <br />equipment called for, in proper operating condition, finished, tested and ready for its <br />intended use (hereinafter "Design Intent"). Provide all items not specifically shown on the <br />drawings, called for in the specifications or related Contract Documents, but required to <br />conform to the labor, material and equipment to achieve the Design Intent and all <br />scaffolding, access provisions, tools, appliances, consumables, fees, permits and licenses, <br />debris removal/disposal, supervision and labor, including required start-up, check-out and <br />training to provide complete and fully operable systems in full compliance with the Contract <br />Documents. <br />B. Before submitting a bid and prior to the start of work, Contractor shall examine all conditions <br />relating to the Work, including that associated with the work of other trades upon which <br />Contractor's work may rely or otherwise depend, to achieve the Design Intent, in <br />accordance with the best trade practices, workmanship and highest quality product <br />installation, taking into account the sequence of the work, delivery, storage and hoisting <br />requirements, requirements for access, testing and temporary services and all other site <br />limitations and project complexities. Report to the Architect/Engineer any conditions which <br />might prevent installation of materials and/or equipment in the manner intended by the <br />Contract Documents or contrary to applicable codes, standards or regulations. <br />C. No consideration or allowance will be granted for any alleged misunderstanding of <br />materials, equipment or components to be furnished or work to be done; it being agreed <br />that tender of proposal carries with it agreement to items, terms and conditions required by <br />the Contract Documents. <br />D. Site Visit: Visit the site and verify the exact conditions relating to the work and obtain such <br />information as may be necessary to present a complete and comprehensive bid. No <br />allowance will be made for any extra expense due to Contractor's failure to make such a <br />visit and reasonably verify all actual/existing conditions. In the event of a conflict between <br />existing conditions and the requirements of the Contract Documents, perform the <br />necessary work to conform to Design Intent. The Owner or his representative will be the <br />sole individual to interpret the intent of the Drawings in the event of a conflict between (1) <br />existing conditions and those shown on the drawings, or (2) quality of existing material and <br />quality of material indicated on the drawings or in the specifications. Wherever a conflict <br />such as this occurs, the higher standard shall prevail. <br />1.4 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />A. When applicable, Contractor acknowledges the ongoing operations of the Owner at or in <br />close proximity to the Project and agrees to coordinate the timing of the Work with the <br />Owner's ongoing operations; perform the Work in a manner that minimizes or eliminates <br />an adverse impact upon the Owner's ongoing operations; confine operations at the site to <br />areas approved by Owner, permitted by law, permits and the Contract Documents; comply <br />BASIC ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS 2601 00 - 2 <br />
