Geotechnical Engineering Report-Revised lrerracon
Kaiser Everett Medical Center Everett,Washington -- s--- y
December 18, 2019 Terracon Project No. 81195071 GeoReport
Item Description
Based on the information provided on September 12, 2019, the project
will consist of two possible construction options.
Option 1:
Construct a 4-story(approximate 231,000 square foot) parking
structure to the west of the existing medical office building and a
new 4-story (approximate 138,000 square foot) hub/ASC building
Proposed Structures south of the existing medical office building.
- Option 2:
Construct a 4-story (approximate 218,000 square foot) parking
structure to the south of the existing medical office building and a
new 4-story (approximate 120,000 square foot) hub/ASC building
west of the existing medical office building.
No information has been provided to date regarding the structure
Building Construction construction. Our scope of services assumes that no below grade
structures are proposed.
Finished Floor Elevation Unknown at the time of this report
■ Columns: 200 kips
Maximum Loads ■ Walls: 5 kips per linear foot (klf)
(assumed) ■ Slabs: 150 pounds per square foot(psf)
We anticipate the site will be leveled to accommodate parking and
Grading/Slopes driveways. Cuts will likely be required for the western portion with filling to
the east.
The assumed pavement design period is 20 years.
Pavements Anticipated traffic is as follows:
■ Light-duty car and parking areas: 40,000 ESALs (assumed)
■ Heavy-duty truck parking areas: 80,000 ESALs (assumed)
GEOTECHNICAL CHARACTERIZATION
We have developed a general characterization of the subsurface conditions based upon our
review of the subsurface exploration, laboratory data, geologic setting and our understanding of
the project. Conditions encountered at each exploration point are indicated on the individual logs.
The individual logs can be found in the Exploration Results section. As noted in General
Comments, the characterization is based upon widely spaced exploration points across the site,
and variations are likely.
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 3
