Geotechnical Engineering Report-Revised lrerracon
Kaiser Everett Medical Center Everett,Washington -- s--- y
December 18, 2019 Terracon Project No. 81195071 GeoReport
Approximate Depth to
Stratum Bottom of Stratum (feet) Material Description Relative Density
Pavement '/2 Asphalt and Aggregate Base N/A
Course
Yellowish brown to tannish brown, Loose to medium
1 3 to 8 silty sand with varying gravel dense
content (Fill or reworked glacial tiles
Yellowish brown to tannish brown,
2' 6 '/2 to 15 silty sand with varying gravel Medium dense to
content (Weathered Glacial Till) dense
2A2 4 '/2 to 11 '/2 Yellow brown to orange, silt with Very stiff
sand and trace gravel
Grayish brown, silty sand with
3 At least 40 '/2 ft varying gravel content and some Dense to very dense
cobbles and boulders (Glacial Till)
This soil unit was not observed in borings B-06, B-07, B-08
Only observed in boring B-09
Notable conditions observed in the field at the time of exploration:
Differentiating between existing fill, reworked weathered glacial till, and native weathered
glacial till, is subjective and difficult to accurately assess through discreet sampling.
Conditions observed at the time of construction are likely to differ from the summary
above.
The site appears to slope gently up from east to west, south to north, 9 to 10 feet of grade
change. Fill or reworked glacial till layer thickness are expected to be variable in these
areas.
In the southeast corner of the site near the proposed Hub/ASC, there is a retaining wall
and rockery, paralleling Maple Street.
Conditions encountered at each boring location are indicated on the individual boring logs shown
in the Exploration Results section and are attached to this report
Groundwater Conditions
The boreholes were observed while drilling and after completion for the presence and level of
groundwater. The water levels observed in the boreholes can be found on the boring logs in
Exploration Results and are summarized below.
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 4
