The following species occur in the lower Snohomish River or may fly over the site: <br />■ Puget Sound Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha); <br />■ Puget Sound steelhead trout (O. mykiss); <br />■ Coastal -Puget Sound bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus); <br />■ Marbled mur elet (Brachyramphus marmoratus); <br />■ Steller sea lion (Eumetopias jubatus); <br />c. Is the site part of a migration route? If so, explain. <br />Yes, the site is located in the vicinity of the lower Snohomish River estuary and Puget <br />Sound, which are migration routes for birds, fish, sea mammals, sea turtles, etc. The project <br />is also within the Pacific flyway for migratory birds. <br />d. Proposed measures to preserve or enhance wildlife, if any: <br />The project include the following measures to reduce impacts to aquatic and riparian <br />habitat: <br />• The project will avoid impacts in the designated floodway by constructing a <br />retaining wall to reduce the footprint of the project along the shoreline side of <br />the site. <br />• Native tree and shrub species will be planted below the retaining wall to <br />enhance riparian vegetation. <br />• Best management practices will be used during construction in accordance <br />with the project's temporary erosion and sediment control plan and <br />stormwater pollution prevention plan and other requirements of the <br />Construction Stormwater General Permit. <br />• Stormwater treatment system has been designed in accordance with the City <br />of Everett's stormwater management requirements. <br />• Best management practices during operation in accordance with the <br />Industrial Stormwater General Permit. <br />e. List any invasive animal species known to be on or near the site. <br />None known. <br />6. Energy and Natural Resources <br />a. What kinds of energy (electric, natural gas, oil, wood stove, solar) will be used to meet <br />the completed project's energy needs? Describe whether it will be used for heating, <br />manufacturing, etc. <br />Electricity will be used for lighting and other power needs. Snohomish County PUD <br />currently provides electricity.
