2025 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />PW# 3830 <br /> SP-85 March 26, 2025 <br /> <br />Permanent pavement marking shall not begin until the layout is approved by the 1 <br />Contracting Agency. Such approval shall not relieve the Contractor of 2 <br />responsibility for the accuracy of the field markings. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Payment 5 <br /> 6 <br />All costs associated with layout of temporary striping shall be included in the 7 <br />associated bid items for pavement marking and shall be full pay for all labor, 8 <br />equipment, materials, and supervision utilized to perform the Work specified for 9 <br />layout and preliminary spotting of pavement markings, including any 10 <br />resurveying, checking, correction of errors, replacement of missing or damaged 11 <br />markings, and coordination efforts. 12 <br /> 13 <br />8-22.3(2) Preparation of Roadway Surfaces 14 <br /> 15 <br />Section 8-22.3(2) is supplemented with the following: 16 <br /> 17 <br />(******) 18 <br />Apply materials to new HMA that is sufficiently cured according to the manufacturer’s 19 <br />recommendation. Permanent paint marking material applied to new HMA require a 20 <br />pavement cure period of at least 21 days.
