To pay liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 per working day for 13 <br />failure to splice, test, and make operational induction loops within 10 working 14 <br />days after installation of the final mat of asphalt overlay over each induction 15 <br />loop in accordance with Section 8-20.3(14)C in these Special Provisions. 16 <br /> 17 <br />(2). In addition to the liquidated damages in (1) above, to pay (according to the 18 <br />following formula) liquidated damages for each working day beyond the 19 <br />number of working days established for Physical Completion, and 20 <br /> 21 <br />(3). The 36 <br />Engineer will notify the Contractor in writing of the Substantial Completion Date. For 37 <br />overruns in Contract time occurring after the date so established, the formula for 38 <br />liquidated damages shown above will not apply. For overruns in Contract time occurring 39 <br />after the Substantial Completion Date, liquidated damages shall be assessed on the 40 <br />basis of direct engineering and related costs assignable to the project until the actual 41 <br />Physical Completion Date of all the Contract Work. The Contractor shall complete the 42 <br />remaining Work as promptly as possible.
