2025 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE OVERLAY SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br />PW# 3830 <br /> SP-77 March 26, 2025 <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> 2 <br />DIVISION8.GR8 3 <br />Division 8 4 <br />Miscellaneous Construction 5 <br /> 6 <br />CNH 8-09.DOCX 7 <br />8-09 RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS 8 <br />(******) 9 <br /> 10 <br />8-09.1 Description 11 <br /> 12 <br />Section 8-09.1 is supplemented with the following: 13 <br /> 14 <br />At locations called for in the Appendices to the Special Provisions, the Work shall consist 15 <br />of installing white and yellow pavement markers between skip lines or on centerline at 40’ 16 <br />centers. Raised pavement markers shall meet the requirements of Section 8-09 and City 17 <br />of Everett Standard Drawing 720. 18 <br /> 19 <br />At locations staked by the engineer, the Work shall consist of installing blue pavement 20 <br />markers at each fire hydrant adjacent to the nearest yellow paint line, on the side of the 21 <br />line that the hydrant is closest. Where multiple yellow lines exist, such as two way left turn 22 <br />lane lines or painted islands, only one marker will be installed adjacent to the nearest 23 <br />yellow paint line. 24 <br /> 25 <br />8-09.2 Materials 26 <br /> 27 <br />Section 8-09.2 is supplemented with the following: 28 <br /> 29 <br />White and yellow Raised Pavement Marker (RPM) Type 2 shall be selected from 30 <br />approved materials listed in the WSDOT Qualified Products List. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Blue Raised Pavement Marker (RPM) Type 2 shall be bi-directional blue-blue with 33 <br />abrasion resistant lens or coating and shall be one of the following: 34 <br />1. 3M Series 290 Model 295-2B 35 <br />2. Stimsonite Model 911-AB 36 <br /> 37 <br />8-09.3 Construction Requirements 38 <br /> 39 <br />Section 8-09.3 is supplemented with the following: 40 <br /> 41 <br />8-09.3(5) Asphalt Adhesives 42 <br /> 43 <br />Section 8-09.3(5) is supplemented with the following: 44 <br /> 45 <br />Adhesive for blue raised pavement markers on all hot mix asphalt surfaces shall be 46 <br />bituminous conforming to the requirements of Section 9-02.1(8) and be Crafco 47 <br />#34269 or approved equal, or, shall be Flint Premark Bundy Adhesive #8430055BK 48 <br />5” by 5” installed per manufacturer’s recommendations. 49 <br /> 50
