Please provide a hazardous materials report substantiating compliance with all provisions of IBC <br /> Section 414.1.3.A qualified person,firm, or corporation should prepare this report.This report <br /> should cover the following bulleted items but is not limited to these items in application. <br /> a. It appears that the design does not protect the surrounding exterior areas from radiation. <br /> Per a counter appointment on 10/31/2024, removal of vehicular and public access was <br /> proposed as a solution to this—which may or may not be viable. Please provide <br /> consideration for exterior areas and rationale as to why exterior walls have not received <br /> shielding in the Hazardous Material report, and the proposed solution on plan. <br /> b. Should hazmat control areas be required per the IBC, IFC, and the hazardous materials <br /> report results, please provide control areas and separation on plan. See IBC Section 414.2. <br /> c. Per the counter appointment on 10/31/2024, an increased prototype/model size will result <br /> in increased radioactive hazard area. Please provide further information and updates to the <br /> plans for any required measures regarding Ventilation, Hazardous Material Systems, or <br /> Inside Storage/Dispensing/Use. See Sections 414.3 through 414.5. <br /> d. Please consider the appropriate special provisions outlined in IBC Section 415 in the report. <br /> 2. Please show a full height building section illustrating where the existing roof/ceiling is and where the <br /> proposed shielding roof exists. <br /> Structural Comments (Reviewer: Beniamin Monk): <br /> 1. Section 10/S-200 has not be called out on plan or in the details, please provide section call-outs <br /> where applicable. See IBC Section 107.2. <br /> 2. Figure 4 on page 8 of the structural calculations appears to assume fixity in horizontal translation <br /> (per a 'roller') at the top of the wall section.
