Additionally, I have prepared the floor plans for
your reference as follows -
• Sheet A2 "EXISTING/DEMOLITION (ORIGINAL) PLANS" - Plans of the residence
that are anticipated as existing prior to the remodel resulting in the current
state of the residence;
• Sheet A5 "GURRENT/DEMOLITION PLANS" - Plans of the residence as it
currently exists, along with notes identifying the demolition that will need to
happen to rebuild for compliance;
• Sheet A4 "PROP05ED COMPLIANCE PLANS" - Plans identifying the scope
required to bring the residence into compliance with the 2015 IRC, etc.; and
• Sheet A5 "FRAMING PLANS" - Plans simply demonstrating that none of the
previous nor proposed changes affect the existing roof and floor framing.
Now, the following are our responses to Drew Martin's letter dated January 5, 2024:
General
1. The building codes applicable to the performed scope of work have been
identified on Sheet Al.
2. The .scope of work completed and still to be completed for compliance has been
shown on Sheets A2, A5, and A4, as detailed above. Furthermore, as existing
plumbing, mechanical, and electrical rough -ins remained as previously located -
only the existing fixtures, appliances, etc., were removed for replacement -the
existing sheetrock did not need to be removed (exposing exterior wall cavities).
Page 1 of 3
