Metro Everett. For buildings within Metro Everett that are constructed to the edge of a public 3 <br />sidewalk, the entry shall be recessed in accordance with the requirements of this sectfon. 4 <br />C. Plazas and Forecourts. The standards in this subsectfon apply only to the MU zone within Metro 5 <br />Everett. 6 <br />Descriptfon: A forecourt or plaza is where all or a portfon of the front facade of a building is set back ten 7 <br />feet or more from the front setback line, creatfng a space without buildings of at least one hundred 8 <br />forty-four square feet along the lot frontage. For the purpose of these design standards, plaza and 9 <br />forecourt are further defined below. 10 <br />1. Plaza. A plaza is a public space that is designed for intensive public use. A plaza is more than 11 <br />nine hundred square feet in area. 12 <br />2. Forecourt. A forecourt is a small court space which could be used as an entry court or shared 13 <br />garden space for apartment buildings, or as an additfonal shopping or restaurant seatfng area 14 <br />within commercial zones. A forecourt is less than nine hundred square feet in area but more 15 <br />than one hundred forty-four square feet. 16 <br />3.
