Off-street parking requirements are reduced by 25% within any of 1 <br />the following areas: 2 <br />1. Parcels within one-quarter mile walking distance of a public transit stop with that receives 3 <br />transit service at least four tfmes per hour for twelve or more hours per day 4 <br />2. Parcels within one-half mile walking distance of a public transit stop with service by rail or bus 5 <br />rapid transit. 6 <br />B. Reductfon of Off-Street Parking for Transportatfon Alternatfves and Mixed-Use Projects. Off-street 7 <br />parking may be reduced for the following transportatfon alternatfves and mixed-use projects. A parking 8 <br />study is not required for use of these alternatfves. 9 <br />1. Car Share Stalls. Car sharing is where cars are made available for rent to other individuals, 10 <br />thus encouraging less car ownership and reducing parking demand. A substftutfon in off-street 11 <br />car share parking spaces for other required off-street parking is allowed as follows: 12 <br />a. For every one car sharing space that is provided, the off-street parking requirement 13 <br />is reduced by four spaces. 14 <br />b. The car sharing parking spaces must be shown on development plans. 15 <br />c. A copy of the car sharing agreement between the property owner and the car share 16 <br />company must be submitted with development permits. 17 <br />d. This reductfon may not be used in additfon to other exceptfons or reductfons in auto 18 <br />parking requirements otherwise provided in this chapter. 19 <br />e. This credit is limited to a maximum of ten percent of the required off-street parking 20 <br />spaces. 21 <br />2. Motorcycle/Moped Parking. 22 <br />a. For every four motorcycle/moped scooter parking spaces provided, the off-street 23 <br />parking requirement is reduced by one space. 24 <br />b. This credit is limited to a maximum of five off-street auto parking spaces, or five 25 <br />percent of the standard off-street auto parking requirement for the development, 26 <br />whichever is less. 27 <br />3. Bicycle and Micromobility ParkingFacilitfes. 28 <br />a. For every five nonrequired short term or four nonrequired long-term bicycle parking 29 <br />spaces provided, the off-street parking requirement is reduced by one space. 30 <br />b. For every development which provides shower facilitfes and clothing storage areas 31 <br />for bicycle and micromobility commuters per sectfon 19.34.160, the off-street auto 32 <br />parking requirement is reduced by four spaces. The facilitfes shall be for the use of the 33 <br />employees and occupants of the building, and shall be located where they are easily 34 <br />accessible to bicycle parking facilitfes. 35
