1
June 6,2008
Serenity Meadows
L&A Job No. 8A017
Page 2
of the site platted into about 10 single-family residential building lots, with access roads,
stormwater drainage facilities, and related underground utilities.
Grading for the proposed development will require cutting down the eastern higher ground area
and filling up the lower western area of the to-be-developed portion of the site. Stonnwater
collected over impervious surfaces of the proposed development within the site is to be disposed
onsite through a series of rain gardens in accordance with minimum impact design (MID)
method.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Our scope of services for this study comprises specifically the following:
1 Review the geologic and soil conditions at the site based on a published geologic map.
2. Explore the site for subsurface conditions with backhoe test pits to a firm bearing soil
I stratum or to the maximum depth (about 12 feet) capable of by the backhoe used in
excavating the test pits, whichever occurs first.
3. Perform necessary geotechnical analyses and provide geotechnical recommendations for
grading, slope stabilization, erosion mitigation, surface and ground water drainage
control, design infiltration rates for rain gardens, foundation design and construction, etc.,
I, based on subsurface conditions encountered in the test pits and results of our geotechnical
analyses.
4. Prepare a written report to present our findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
SFI'E CONDITIONS
SURFACE CONDITIONS
The subject site is a rectangle-shaped tract of land, situated on a broad plain sloping gently down
westward to the nearby North Creek. It is bounded by 7th Avenue SE to the east, backed into a
LIU & ASSOCIATES, INC.
