Lc <br /> SILVER LAKE CENTER Transportation Planning <br /> 4. the 112th"T"with SR527 and the gentle slope of 112th toward the Site from the I-5 bridge provides a <br /> long and compelling vista to Silver Lake Center against a backdrop of the Cascade Mountains; <br /> • Road widening programs are underway on all arterials in the Silver Lake Basin. Those scheduled for <br /> five lane configuration are SR527, SR96,and 112th Street west of SLC,35th Avenue and 100th <br /> Street. Interstate 5 will be widened to accommodate HOV lanes and their respective connection to <br /> the 112th Street Park&Ride; <br /> • Consideration is currently being given for the provision of a"tunnel"connection under I-5 into <br /> Everett Mall Way; <br /> • Additional improvements are also planned for the arterial interchanges with I-5 at the Eastmont and <br /> 128th Street Interchanges; <br /> • Funding for the extensive transportation infrastructure serving the Silver Lake area is for the most <br /> part now secured,with some of the projects,or a portion thereof,nearing completion; <br /> • The all important SR527 widening that serves SLC will begin in early 2004 now that the Canyon <br /> Park to Mill Creek to Murphy's Corner(132"d Street/SR96)leg is nearing completion. Completion is <br /> set for late 2005 ...just prior to the completion of the first phase of Silver Lake Center; <br /> • The shoreline park will be constructed within the same timeframe; <br /> Silver Lake Center Project Profile Page 5 of 21 <br />
