1
Preliminary Stormwater Site Plan Everett, WA
Off-Site Analysis
Downstream Analysis
See the Storm Drainage Analysis of Existing Kenilworth Hills #1 Pond Basin in the "Special
Reports and Studies" section of this report for downstream analysis.
IUpstream Analysis
Runoff from the west is intercepted by 36`h Ave W. Runoff from approximately 10 acres to
the south between the site and Seaway Blvd. will enter the site. This area has been
accounted for in the drainage design.
' Analysis and Design of Required Erosion and Sediment Control BMPs
Y g q
All erosion and sediment control measures shall be governed by the requirements of the
Everett Stormwater Management Manual. A detailed temporary erosion and sedimentation
control plan will be prepared to assist the contractor in complying with these requirements
during building permit application. The proposed TESC plan will utilize interceptor swales,
silt fence, inlet protection and sediment ponds, as necessary.
A. Construction Sequence and Procedure
The proposed development will include an erosion/sedimentation control plan designed to
prevent sediment-laden run-off from leaving the site during construction. The erosion
potential of the site is influenced by four major factors: soil characteristics, vegetative
cover, topography, and climate. Erosion/sedimentation control is achieved by a
combination of structural measures, cover measures, and construction practices that are
tailored to fit the specific site.
rPrior to the start of any grading activity upon the site, all erosion control measures,
including installation of a stabilized construction entrance, shall be installed in accordance
with this plan and the construction documents.
The best construction practice will be employed to properly clear and grade the site and to
schedule construction activities. The planned construction sequence for the construction
of the site will be provided during the construction document approval process.
B. Soil Stabilization and Sediment Trapping
Structural control measures will be used to reduce erosion and retain sediment on the
construction site. The control measures will be selected to fit the specific site and seasonal
' conditions. For instance, the soils on the site will significantly affect the erosion potential.
On-site soils are Alderwood Gravelly Sandy Loam and Alderwood-Everett Gravelly Sandy
Loam, described as having slight erosion potential. The general site area is moderately
I
PACLAND Job# 50175001 Page 5
