Marlene Bissell 10-Unit Condo's
Drainage Report
Overall Risk or Potential for Degradation of Water Quality
The overall risk involved in this project for erosion and degradation to water quality is moderate.
The contractor will be advised to control surface runoff during construction and to prevent it
from flowing down cut and fill slopes. It will also be important to stabilize the surface soils on
cut and fill slopes to reduce the risk of erosion. During construction, the contractor will be
required to stabilize exposed soil within 2 days from October 1 to April 30 and within 7 days
from May 1 to September 30. Soil stockpiles would be covered within 24 hours to minimize
erosion. With the appropriate soil cover, the installation of BMP's and construction timing, it is
my opinion that erosion will be minimal and there will be no significant adverse impacts to the
water quality downstream.
7
