Johnson Braund Inc. is the Architect of <br />Record; Heartland Construction acted as the General Contractor. <br />This letter addresses OAC Building Sciences involvement with the project from a building enclosure - <br />standpoint and the specific services we provided related to the building enclosure. This project <br />consists of 430 rentable units in five separate elevatored 5-over-1 podium buildings. All observations <br />were made from the exterior ground level, unit interiors, roofs, or exterior unit decks. <br />OAC consulted with the Architect, Owner/Developer, Heartland Construction, and provided building <br />enclosure recommendations and observations during construction. <br />o OAC provided a stand-alone Building Enclosure set that is supplemental to the Architectural <br />set. Building Enclosure design documents address the water, thermal, air, and vapor <br />barriers, provided product recommendations and acceptable alternates, and defined <br />enclosure testing protocols and requirements. Building Enclosure design documents meet <br />the requirements of RCW 64.55.020. <br />o OAC reviewed and approved a stand-alone mock-up, per ESDS 7.13B Option #02 (0.0). <br />o During construction, OAC made periodic, quality control site visits to review the installation of <br />the enclosure assemblies and details; and, as necessary provide additional details, <br />recommendations, and reports regarding the as -built conditions.
