These flashings are commonly located on the front and back of chimneys and skylights,or <br /> where a horizontal roof section runs into or slopes away from siding. This metal is also under siding in areas,where <br /> the same policy applies to inadvertant siding damage. This damage will be repaired at a time and materials cost basis. <br /> -VALLEY FLASHING:Install new 24"Wide Valley metal,leaving an exposure of 2 1/4" <br /> on either side of the"W".This is slightly wider than most companies leave for exposure, <br /> but seriously aids in the flow of water,and sheddingdebris off of the roof. <br /> STARTER COURSE MATERIAL:We will install Certainteed Swift Start starter materials <br /> around all gutter edges,valley angles,and rake edges.Each will have this starter lining for durability. <br /> 'f <br /> -DIVERTER/KICK FLASHING:We install diveter and kick flashings in areas where needed <br /> for protection and to help control water flow such as on the edge of rafter tails,ends of ridge vent <br /> siding and valley areas that meet the gutter. <br /> -SKYLIGHTS:We will remove all skylights,all curbs will be reflashed,then skylights will be resealed and reinstalled. <br /> -SKYLIGHT DRYWALL DAMAGE:Due to the brittle nature of old drywall, some minor cracking may occur when <br /> skylights are removed and replaced.This damage is unavoidable when it occurs and is NOT due to negligent <br /> procedures.We can assist with fixing the drywall or adding white trim pieces for an additional charge. <br /> -CHIMNEYS:All base roof flashings will be removed and replaced with new flashing.
