City of Everett 2 <br />Water Main Replacement “Y” Ph 2 Improvements Otak <br />The consultant will provide assistance-services during construction of the project. The Consultant will <br />assist with engineering office support, planned periodic site visits, and be available to attend <br />site/construction meetings, when requested. <br />900-002: Construction Office-Engineering Tasks <br />The Consultant will respond to contractor RFIs, assist City staff with document interpretation and <br />clarifications and, when requested by the city, review construction submittals. When requested, <br />Consultant will also assist in evaluating potential project modifications and change-order proposals and <br />prepare supporting drawing-exhibits and documentations for the City’s use in implementing into the <br />project. <br />900-003: Attending Project/Site Meetings, when Requested <br />When requested, the Consultant will attend project site field meetings and prepare/submit summary <br />memorandum documenting conclusion or determinations made pertaining to the purpose of the meeting. <br />Task budget based on the Consultant preparing for and attending a maximum of six (6) one-hour <br />meetings, anticipated to be associated with: <br />•Attending the pre-construction meeting. <br />•Attend progress meetings and WSDOT/BNSF coordination meetings, when requested by the <br />City, <br />•Attending periodic field meetings to discuss issues or observe construction, and <br />•Attend/assist with final project site walk-through. <br />900-004: Planned Construction Observation Site Visits <br />Consultant will perform planned, periodic, field visits at important phases in the construction and to <br />observe key project elements. Consultant will prepare a daily field observation report associated with <br />each site visit. Site visits are anticipated to observe construction as follows: <br />•One visit near completion of work access and containment. <br />•One visit near the beginning of resin bonded anchor installation to verify installation is following <br />manufacturer instructions and that continuous special inspections are being performed by third party <br />inspectors according to the plans. <br />•Up to three site visits during installation of utility supports attached to the bridge deck and girders. <br />•Up to two site visits during installation of utility supports attached to the bridge abutment and pier. <br />900-005: Client Coordination and Reporting <br />The Consultant will direct and supervise internal staff team members and their activities for the duration of <br />the project. The Consultant will monitor and track scope activities, budget expenditures, and prepare <br />monthly progress reports and invoices with sufficient detail to demonstrate expended effort and budget <br />status. <br />Scope of Services Deliverables: <br />•Bid-Ready Documents – Phase 2: <br />o Signed/sealed construction drawings: PDF copy. <br />o Project Specifications: PDF <br />o Engineer’s Estimate: PDF
