WPCF Headworks Replacement Project Scope of Work <br />27 <br /> <br />Work Products <br /> Meeting notes and action items from workshops and coordination meetings <br />Deliverables <br /> Draft and Final Critical Areas Existing Conditions report <br /> Draft and Final BODR Environmental Conditions and Anticipated Permit sections <br /> Draft and Final Permit Matrix <br /> Draft and Final Cultural Resources Report <br /> Draft SEPA checklist <br />Tasks 370 CR Environmental and Task 375 Black Dog Analytics <br />Objective: CR Environmental, working in collaboration with Black Dog Analytics, will complete a grit <br />classification study. The results of this study will inform the grit and grit washer equipment <br />alternative selection under Task 405. CR Environmental will conduct grit sampling activities at the <br />WPCF. Black Dog Analytics will complete the laboratory analysis of the grit samples and subsequent <br />reporting. <br />Activities/Approach <br /> Attend coordination call(s) with the City and BC to identify sampling locations and discuss <br />field activities prior to the start of work. <br /> Transport sample equipment to site, coordinate sample location with plant staff, mobilize <br />equipment, staff field work during sample collection, and demobilize equipment. <br /> Complete onsite grit sampling at the WPCF. Field sampling will be structured to collect grit <br /> upstream of the existing headworks grit system. Samples <br />will be collected during three sampling periods bracketing the daily peak flow ramp-up. Each <br />sampling period will have a continuous duration of 6 hours. <br /> Complete laboratory analysis on three grit samples collected by CR Environmental. <br /> Develop a lab report documenting the findings from the grit analysis. The report shall include <br />the following information for each sample: side-by-side plots of weight distributions of grit <br />physical size, sand equivalent size determination, tabulated influent grit concentrations <br />(fixed solids per million gallons), projected daily grit loads for all sample days, fractional <br />efficiency (reported as percent removed), percent total solids and percent total volatile <br />solids. <br />Task Assumptions <br /> Laboratory analysis shall include wet-sieving, solids analysis, and sand equivalent size <br />determination. <br /> Grit classification field work will be conducted the week of October 20, 2025. If necessary, <br />the City will provide written approval to proceed with this work if the contract is not finalized <br />by the date of the field activities. <br /> All meetings will be held virtually. <br /> Subconsultant fees include all project expenses necessary to complete the work, including. <br />but not limited to. lodging, travel, shipping, and staffing costs. <br /> CR Environmental does not provide seed sand. If needed, this equipment will be supplied <br />under Task 120.
