. <br /> sunrise, unless there shall be fastened to the front thereof <br /> at least two white lights of sufficient candle power to enable <br /> the person driving or operating such vehicle to clearly see ahead <br /> a distance of at least two hundred feet,and one red light so fixed <br /> as to be invisible from the front amd visible from the rear for a <br /> distance of at least one hundred feet; provided, that no colored <br /> lights shall be permitted on the front of or on the side of any <br /> such automobile or other motor vehicle, or at any place on such <br /> automobile or motor vehicle so that the same shall be visible <br /> from the front. <br /> Section 3: That Section 18 of said Ordinance No. 1531, <br /> be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> SPEED OF AUTOMOBILES. <br /> Section 18: No person shall ride, drive or propel any <br /> automobile, motorcycle, or other motor vehicle, except as specified <br /> in Section 17 , at a greater rata of speed than twenty miles per • <br /> hour, along, over or through any public place within the limits <br /> of the city of Everett, or to pass or cross any street intersec- <br /> tion or around any corner within the limits of the city of Everett <br /> except on an up-grade , at a greater rate of speed than eight miles <br /> per hour; or at a greater rate of speed than ten miles per hour on <br /> an up-grade. <br /> Section 4: That Section 20 of said Ordinance No. 1531, <br /> be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> FIRE D. PARTMn;NT ON THE RUN. <br /> Section 20: The driver or operator of a street car, on <br /> the approach of the apparatus of the fire department, shall immed- <br /> iately bring such street car to a stop, and the driver or operator <br /> of any vehicle upon the approach of the apparatus of the fire depart- <br /> ment shall immediately draw up said vehicle as near as practicable <br /> to the right-hand curb, and parallel thereto, and bring his vehicle <br /> to a stop, and shall remain stopped until all such apparatus has <br />
