Exhibit A (Scope of Work) <br />the 30% Design Phase and will be the basis for an updated cost estimate. An online coordination meeting with the <br />City is expected. Deliverables will include PDF version of the design drawings, outline specifications, and the <br />opinion of probable cost. <br />3.90% Design and Permit Submittal Phase. Reid Middleton and its subconsultants will advance the concepts shown <br />in the 60% Design Phase to a level suitable for a building permit submittal. This will provide a basis for an updated <br />cost estimate. An online coordination meeting with the City is expected. Deliverables will include PDF versions of <br />design drawings, specifications, and the opinion of probable cost. <br />4.Construction Documents. Reid Middleton and its subconsultants will address comments raised in the permit <br />review process, as well as general City of Everett comments regarding the 90% Design submittal. The final cost <br />estimate will be prepared, based on this submittal. Deliverables will include PDF versions of the design drawings, <br />specifications, and the opinion of probable cost. <br />5.Bid Support and Construction Phase Services. Reid Middleton will attend one pre-bid walk and provide responses <br />to pre-proposal inquiries. The site meeting and inquiries are expected to be organized by the City of Everett, with <br />Reid Middleton providing responses through representatives of the City of Everett only. Construction support is <br />expected to consist of submittal reviews and RFI responses, consistent with the hours and fees included in the <br />proposal. Construction management is expected to be provided by the City of Everett. One site meeting is expected <br />to be attended by Reid Middleton and one punch-list site visit is expected to be attended by a representative of <br />Reid Middleton, the architect, and the mechanical or electrical engineer. <br />6.Additional services requested by the City of Everett. <br />7.Exclusions: <br />a.Detailed measurements or bathymetric survey is excluded. <br />b.Wildlife, eelgrass, and other habitat surveys, cultural resource surveys, and other environmental <br />documentation is excluded. The City of Everett will provide these services, if they are required. <br />c.In-water exploration is excluded. Site observations will be performed from the existing above-water <br />surfaces only. <br />d.Review of the existing piles adjacent to the boat house is excluded. If the marina requires inspection, <br />repair, or replacement of the existing piles, this will require an additional services agreement, per Section <br />B.6. <br />e. Coordination for waterfront, environmental, or building permit is excluded. The design team will <br />respond to building permit review comments; however, the City of Everett will provide the permitting <br />work. <br />f.Inspection, material testing, and detailed measurements are excluded. <br />g. Review or assessment of the existing dock is excluded. The dock is expected to be sufficient for an <br />upgraded connection of the new boat house, in a manner similar to adjacent boat houses. <br />C. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE <br />Reid Middleton will begin services upon receipt of a signed agreement and will make every reasonable effort to <br />complete the services in a timely manner considering the needs of the <br />project. <br />D. CLIENT’S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />The City of Everett shall provide available pertinent data, documents, and other information to Reid Middleton as <br />necessary to complete the services outlined in Section B above. This will include, but is not limited to: City of <br />Everett CAD standards and specification templates (if required), existing building drawings (if available), marina <br />requirements, anticipated equipment dimensions, and site access.
