City of Everett 01 11 00 - 2
Port Gardner Storage Facility – Facility Construction Package WO# UP-3525

01 11 00 - 2 SUMMARY OF WORK
Category 2: Sensitive information
Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law.
d) The conveyance improvements include installation of a 42-inch
diameter combined sewer conveyance line in an east/west
orientation along the southern property line. The proposed
location for this pipeline is near the Port of Everett. Installation
of this conveyance line must include accommodations for
limiting settlement within the Port of Everett property to within
performance based limits and include depressurizing potential
artesian groundwater conditions in this area to reduce the
magnitude of trench heave. This work is required to meet the
performance requirements outlined in Section 31 32 25 and the
Contractor may select among various listed measures for this
work. Per Section 00 22 13, the Contractor’s bid must include a
description of the methods that serve as the basis of bid for this
work.
b. Above grade improvements include construction of access roads,
parking areas, site paving, and fencing.
c. Construction of a subgrade buttress wall west of Area 60 Effluent
Pump Station.
1) The project site is known to have areas of contaminated soils.
Testing will be required for excavated materials and construction
spoils. If contaminants are found, materials will require hazardous
waste disposal. See Floyd Snider Utility Property Cleanup Action
Plan Memorandum provided in Volume 7 Attachment E and 02 61
00 Removal and Disposal of Contaminated Soils for additional
information.
d. Installation of a subgrade pump station for site stormwater conveyance
1) The project scope of work includes procurement and installation of
a vendor supplied packaged pump station, SDMH 46-07. This
pump station will serve as a central collection point for site
stormwater and convey flow to Area 40 for onsite treatment.
2) Installation of the pump station includes construction of a 6-inch
diameter buried forcemain between the pump station and
stormwater treatment system.
e. Site wide temporary erosion and sediment control.
f. Demolition of Lift Station 6.

3. Area 15 Combined Sewer Influent
a.
