City of Everett 01 11 00 - 8
Port Gardner Storage Facility – Facility Construction Package WO# UP-3525

01 11 00 - 8 SUMMARY OF WORK
Category 2: Sensitive information
Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law.
b) Process Mechanical
1. Routing of the 48-inch and 18-inch diameter stormwater
pipelines within the diversion structure vault. The 48-inch
diameter line includes two gate valves and a take down
coupling. The 18-inch diameter line includes installation of a
magnetic flow meter, knife gate valve, and modulating plug
valve.
c) Instrumentation and Controls
1. Installation and integration of the following Area 40
instruments/equipment into the site control system.
i. Magnetic flow meter
ii. Valve actuators
d) Site Civil
1. Regrading and paving around the stormwater diversion
structure.
2) Construction of the stormwater treatment system includes
establishing an approximately 11,000 square foot basin for housing
a manufacturer supplied stormwater treatment system consisting of
media as specified in Section 33 46 59. This work requires building
a new pile supported structure around residual structural elements
from the selectively demolished pump station building. The
stormwater treatment system includes structural, process
mechanical, and civil elements:
a) Structural
1. Construction of a concrete subgrade basin. This structure
will include approximately 4,500 square feet of an existing
foundation and 6,500 square feet of a new pile supported
structure. The invert of this basin will sit approximately 7-feet
below grade. The top of wall will sit approximately 1.5-feet
above grade.
2. Installation of channeling within the basin structure for
routing flows and housing treatment media.
b) Process Mechanical
1. Connection of an 18-inch diameter stormwater pipe from the
Area 40 Diversion Structure to the stormwater treatment
system influent channel.
2. Installation of perforated collection piping within each of the
basin channels that will contain treatment media. These
pipelines will collect treated stormwater and convey the flow
to the downstream collection header.
3. Installation of a collection header on the western facing
exterior wall of the treatment system. Flow from each
individual treatment channel will be routed to this collection
header which will convey flow to the CSMH-60-01, upstream
of the Area 60 Effluent Pump Station.
