City of Everett 01 11 00 - 20 <br />Port Gardner Storage Facility – Facility Construction Package WO# UP-3525 <br /> <br />01 11 00 - 20 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />Category 2: Sensitive information <br />Category 2: For official use only / disclosure permissible by law. <br />1.7 WORK BY THE OWNER <br />A. The Owner shall have the right to access the site 24/7 and execute work not <br />included in this Contract and concurrent with the contract period. Contractor <br />shall cooperate with such Owner sponsored efforts. <br />B. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner in scheduling operations to <br />minimize conflict with concurrent construction projects and maintenance <br />activities. <br />1.8 CODES AND STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS <br />A. All construction shall be in accordance with the International Building Code, <br />Current Adopted Edition. <br />B. All construction shall be in accordance with the Uniform Mechanical Code, <br />and the Uniform Plumbing Code, latest editions. <br />C. All construction shall be in conformance with the WSDOT/APWA Standard <br />Specifications and Standard Plans, latest editions, only to the extent that they <br />are called out in the Contract Documents. <br />D. All construction shall be in conformance with the City of Everett Design and <br />Construction Standards and Specifications, latest edition, only to the extent <br />that they are called out in the Contract Documents. <br />E. All work shall comply with applicable requirements of Snohomish County. <br />F. Any material specified by reference to the number, symbol, or title of a <br />specified standards, such as Commercial Standard Federal Specifications, a <br />trade association standard, or other similar standard, shall comply with the <br />requirements of the latest revision thereof, and any amendment or <br />supplement thereto in effect on the date of Invitation for Bids, except as <br />limited to type, class or grade, or modified in such references. All work shall <br />conform to the standard referred to, except as modified in these specifications <br />and the drawings. <br />1.9 CHECKING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />A. PRIOR SUBMISSION OF BIDS: The Contractor shall report any <br />discrepancies or omissions in the plans and/or specifications to the Owner for <br />a decision prior to the Submission of Bids. <br />B. RESOLUTION OF CONFLICTS: Where there is conflict between the plans <br />and the specifications in regard to materials, equipment, sizes, numbers or <br />locations, the Owner shall be the sole judge in resolving the conflict.
