13 <br />Section 5: <br />Employees will be granted pay in lieu of vacation at such time as they are separated from City <br />employment, unless such separation occurs during the initial probationary period. <br /> <br />Section 6: <br />If a holiday specified in Article 8 of this Agreement falls within the employee's actual vacation, the <br />employee may add one extra day to his/her vacation time with such day to be scheduled by mutual <br />agreement between the employee and the Transit Director. No charge against vacation accrual <br />will be made for a vacation day which falls on a holiday specified in Article 8 of this Agreement. <br /> <br />Section 7: <br />Choice of vacation time shall be by working seniority. <br /> <br />Section 8: <br />The vacation book shall recognize one vacation slot in the vacation book for every ten drivers out <br />of training. Under special circumstances, the Transit Director, after notification to the Union, may <br />temporarily limit the number of vacation slots available. <br /> <br />Section 9: <br />Vacation accrual cannot be used in place of sick leave unless sick leave has been exhausted and <br />the employee receives Transit Director approval. <br /> <br />Section 10: <br />Vacation pay shall be paid the same as run pay for regular operators. Extra board drivers shall <br />receive eight (8) hours pay per day of vacation. Other employees shall receive vacation pay <br />according to their regular assigned shifts. <br /> <br />Employees whose regular work shifts consists of working five 8-hour days shall receive no more <br />than 8 hours pay for each day of vacation. Employees whose regular shift(s) consists of working <br />four 10-hour days shall receive no more than 10 hours pay for each day of vacation. <br /> <br />Section 11: <br />Employees who are furloughed, laid off and rehired within twelve months, or employees granted <br />leave of absence without pay, shall not accrue vacation during this period. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
