8 <br />Section 3: <br />A. Three Union-Management meetings will be held annually to discuss various items of <br />interest to both parties. <br /> <br />B. The City, at its discretion, may conduct up to three (3) mandatory employee meetings or <br />in-person training sessions annually. <br /> <br /> Employees will be given at least thirty (30) days’ advance notice prior to each scheduled <br />session. These sessions are intended for all employees, excluding those on approved <br />vacation, sick leave, or workers’ compensation leave at the time of the event. For <br />employees who are excused from attending, the City may schedule three (3) annual <br />meetings or trainings and they will not count as additional events. <br /> <br /> Employees who attend employee meetings or in-person trainings will be paid a minimum <br />of two (2) hours pay at the applicable rate. <br /> <br />In the event of a canceled meeting or in-person training that is beyond the control of the <br />City, employees who have reported to work prior to the time of the cancelation shall be <br />paid two (2) hours pay at the applicable rate. Canceled meetings or in person trainings <br />will not count against the three (3) meetings or in-person trainings allowed to the City. <br /> <br />Section 4: <br />The City will hold a meeting of the Union bargaining unit and drivers will be informed two (2) <br />weeks in advance of any major changes in the Transit system. <br /> <br />Section 5: <br />It is understood and agreed that the following Articles/Sections of this Agreement shall not apply <br />to those members employed in the classification of paratransit operator: <br /> <br /> Article 14(4) <br /> <br />Section 6: <br /> <br />All bargaining unit appointments to committees that involve mandatory subjects of bargaining or <br />mandated by law shall be selected by the union.
