The Guardian Retreat is a multiple day program that is designed to provided strategies for first responders to deal with the stress associated with police work.The conference is funded by Council COVID allocations. The Everett Police Department applied for and received Local Heros grant from the GESA Credit Union for officer wellness. These funds were used to send officers to the Guardian retreat. This amendment proposes an increase to the Engineering and Public Services Department’s Maintenance and Operations budget to address several critical needs. It includes $739,824 to cover department-wide maintenance and operations costs for the remainder of the year, which have been higher than anticipated due to traffic collision damage and increased repair needs. In addition, funding of $206,859 is included for the repair and replacement of key traffic signal infrastructure.
