The project is supported by Snohomish <br />County REET 2 grant funds and Council COVID Relief program dollars, totaling $40,000. <br />The Everett Police Department sent 5 members to the American Society of Evidence-Based Policing Conference held in Tucson, AZ from April 30 to May 3 2025. The <br />conference was attended as part of the City's ongoing commitment to reduce violent crime in our community. The conference provided best practices from nationally <br />renowned presenters who have first hand knowledge of crime reduction strategies. The focus was on using emerging technology to help law enforcement more <br />effectively locate and prosecute criminals, and to address violent crime by leveraging technology.Additional conference sessions covered latest advancements in <br />predictive analytics and innovative crime mapping and the impact of real-time crime centers. This conference was pre-approved by a Council member. <br />Effective 1/1/2025, the Parks & Community Services Department and the Facilities & Property Management Department combined their fleets. Parks & Community <br />Services paid for all of the fleet related expenses. This amendment proposes to transfer the fuel, vehicle maintenance and repairs budget from Facilities & Property <br />Management to Park & Community Service to reflect this change. <br />
