The project is supported by Snohomish County REET 2 grant funds and Council COVID Relief program dollars, totaling $40,000. The Everett Police Department sent 5 members to the American Society of Evidence-Based Policing Conference held in Tucson, AZ from April 30 to May 3 2025. The conference was attended as part of the City's ongoing commitment to reduce violent crime in our community. The conference provided best practices from nationally renowned presenters who have first hand knowledge of crime reduction strategies. The focus was on using emerging technology to help law enforcement more effectively locate and prosecute criminals, and to address violent crime by leveraging technology.Additional conference sessions covered latest advancements in predictive analytics and innovative crime mapping and the impact of real-time crime centers. This conference was pre-approved by a Council member. Effective 1/1/2025, the Parks & Community Services Department and the Facilities & Property Management Department combined their fleets. Parks & Community Services paid for all of the fleet related expenses. This amendment proposes to transfer the fuel, vehicle maintenance and repairs budget from Facilities & Property Management to Park & Community Service to reflect this change.
