The property will be the new location
for the Everett Police Department Property Room. The purchase agreement was approved by Council on Oct 29, 2025.
This amendment proposes using a portion of the 2024 budget variance to pre-fund expenditures for 2026. The objective is to reduce expenditures the following year
without affecting our overall contributions. Specifically, we plan to contribute $2,501,940 to CIP-1, which will reduce the 2026 contributions to CIP-1 by this amount
due to higher contributions planned for 2025. This approach results in an average annual contribution of $3 million over the two years, as forecasted. See also GGA-
26.
This amendment proposes to increase the Motor Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Reserve Fund 126 expenditure budget for the following vehicle and equipment
replacements and projects:
Police:
-$240,000 for three Police Patrol vehicles.
-$70,000 for replacing a 2018 Ford Police Responder pick-up truck.
Park:
-$ 125,000 for replacing a 2009 Ford F-550 hook lift truck.
-$ 110,000 for replacing a 2008 Toro 4000-D mower.
Fire:
-$ 488,732 additional fund for replacing J0059, a 2002 American LaFrance heavy duty mid-mount aerial platform. The funding request was authorized in May 18, 2022
council meeting.
This amendment proposes to appropriate $300,000 to support 2025 annual street overlay projects. It is part of the planned usage of CIP 3 funds in 2025, similar to
previous years.
