<br />•First 20% of lump sum upon acceptance of the work access submittal, designed by the
<br />contractor. There will be no partial payments of this portion of the lump sum.
<br />•40% of lump sum for installing, maintaining and using work access during installation of the
<br />new water line and supports. Partial payment shall be based upon the ratio of the installed
<br />length of water line and associated supports compared to the total length of water line shown
<br />in the approved work access submittal.
<br />•20% of lump sum for installing, maintaining and using work access during removal of the
<br />existing water line and supports. Partial payment shall be based upon the ratio of the removed
<br />length of water line compared to the total length of existing water line shown in the approved
<br />work access submittal. Partial payment will only be calculated and made where existing water
<br />line and supports are removed. For example, if supports remain after water line removal, the
<br />length of water line associated with the remaining supports will not be included.
<br />•Final 20% of lump sum upon completed removal of work access as approved by the Engineer.
<br />There will be no partial payments of this portion of the lump sum.
<br />This lump sum bid item includes all equipment, materials, temporary lighting, spill prevention and
<br />containment, labor, installation, and removal, and all other work necessary to meet work access
<br />requirements.
<br /> Utility Supports on Bridge 645W
<br />Specification Section 6-02
<br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS)
<br />Measurement for Utility Supports on Bridge 645W shall be as follows:
<br />•First 20% of lump sum upon approval of Working Drawings. There will be no partial payments
<br />of this portion of the lump sum.
<br />•Final 80% of the lump sum upon completed installation of utility supports. Partial payment shall
<br />be based upon the ratio of completed utility supports installed as approved by the Engineer to
<br />the total number of utility supports in the approved Working Drawings.
<br />This lump sum bid item includes all equipment, materials, labor, installation, and removal, and all
<br />other work necessary to meet utility support requirements, including Work specified in Sections 6-
<br />02 and 6-03.
<br />“Utility Supports on Bridge 645W” contains the following approximate quantities of materials and
<br />work:
<br />Water Line Support assemblies supporting horizontal runs of
<br />pipe, including drilled holes, epoxy resin, anchor bolts, nuts,
<br />washers, pipe rollers, pipe shields, and lateral support struts.
<br />70 each
<br />Thrust Support Strut assemblies (one horizontal and one vertical)
<br />at Abutment 1, including fabricated steel, drilled holes, epoxy
<br />resin, pipe straps welded to pipe shields, anchor bolts, nuts, and
<br />washers.

<br />Thrust Support Strut assembly (vertical) at Pier 5, including
<br />fabricated steel, drilled holes, epoxy resin, pipe straps welded to
<br />pipe shields, anchor bolts, nuts, and washers.

<br />Thrust Support Bracket assembly at Pier 5, including fabricated
<br />steel, drilled holes, epoxy resin, pipe straps welded to pipe
<br />shields, anchor bolts, nuts, and washers.
