<br /> <br /> <br />EVERETT POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION <br />PAGE 40 <br /> <br /> In the event of an employee’s death, the employee’s estate or beneficiary will <br />receive in cash one hundred percent (100%) of the value of the employee’s <br />existing sick leave accrual balances up to a maximum of 1040 hours. <br /> <br />23.7.2 For the purposes of this section, retirement shall mean: (a) a separation of <br />employment after 20 years of service under LEOFF, or (b) a separation of <br />employment after reaching age 53 with five years of credited service under the <br />LEOFF system, or (c) separation after becoming totally incapacitated for <br />continued employment with a LEOFF covered employer. <br /> <br />23.8 No COVID-19 Mandate. <br /> <br />23.8.1 The City of Everett will not mandate a COVID-19 vaccine for employees covered <br />by this bargaining agreement unless it’s required by state or federal mandate. <br /> <br />
