This unit price bid item includes all costs <br />associated with excavating and backfilling the hole, including bedding as necessary and for temporary <br />patching surfacing in trafficked areas. Permanent surfacing shall be paid under HMA Cl. ½ In. PG 64- <br />22. <br /> Type B Progress Schedule <br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br />Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.1. This unit price bid item includes all costs <br />associated with preparation and updates to the progress schedule. <br /> Project Temporary Traffic Control <br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br />Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.1. This unit price bid item includes all costs for: <br />Coordination with the City, temporary traffic control plan design, to furnish the material, labor and <br />equipment, to Furnish all personnel for flagging to control traffic, including pedestrians, during <br />construction operations in accordance with Section 1-10 of the Standard Specifications (as amended <br />by the Special Provisions), the Plans, approved traffic control plans, these Special Provisions and as <br />directed by the City. <br />This item includes the maintenance and protection of traffic control materials, tools, and equipment <br />necessary to accomplish the Work in accordance with 1-10.3 TRAFFIC CONTROL PROCEDURES, <br />including yet not limited to, signs, barricades, drums, flashers, reader boards, and temporary pavement <br />markings. Also included is cost associated with preparation and distribution of public notices involving <br />parking, street access or traffic issues. <br />Any costs associated with the procurement, set-up, operation and maintenance of the trailer mounted <br />temporary traffic signal and illumination system, including driveway assistance devices, is to be included <br />within this bid item. This includes integration of traffic signal preemption, temporary modifications <br />required in the rail crossing signal controller cabinet, and costs for coordinating and obtaining approvals <br />from BSNF railway. <br />Any costs associated with installation of temporary bus stops, including closing and re-opening the <br />existing bus stops shall be inclusive of this item. Any other temporary traffic control elements shown on <br />the Plans, not included in Bid Item 8 Portable Changeable Message Sign, Bid Item 9 Special Signs or <br />Bid Item 10 Type II or III Barricades are to be inclusive of this item. <br /> Portable Changeable Message Sign <br />Measurement and Payment: Hour (HR) <br />Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.1. This unit price bid item includes all costs <br />associated with furnishing, maintaining, and removal of the portable changeable message sign. <br /> Construction Sign Class A
