Dia <br />Measurement and Payment: Linear Foot (LF) <br />Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.1. Unit cost per linear foot pipe measurement shall <br />be based on the slope distance from point to point. The point of beginning or ending of measurement <br />in any particular run of pipe shall be the vertical intersection of the centerline of the pipe measured with <br />the centerline of the intersection pipe, or with the beginning or ending of any new linear length of valves <br />or couplings contained within the measured length. At changes in pipe size connected by a reducer, <br />the point of measurement shall be taken as the midpoint of the reducer. <br />The unit contract price shall constitute full compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment <br />necessary to furnish, install, pressure test and CCTV inspect the pipe, restrained joints (where shown <br />on the Plans or as required by the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions), including all fittings, <br />couplings, and sleeves required for complete installation along the run of each pipe size, as shown on <br />the Plans and specified herein, and additionally, shall include, but not be limited to, the following: <br />1. Furnishing and placing of Detectable Marking Tape (tracer wire) above the pipes. <br />2. Furnishing and placing pipe end markers as indicated on the Plans. <br />3. Furnishing and placing Buoyancy Warning Tape above the pipes, as indicated on the Plans. <br />4. Installation of connectors, tee, fittings, and end caps. <br />5. Installation of pipe anchors and pipe cutoff walls, where indicated on the Plans will be paid for <br />under other bid items and are not a part of this work. <br />6. Temporary and permanent thrust blocking and dead man blocks, and temporary and permanent <br />restraint systems. <br />7. Ethafoam pads or sand backfill between these installations and any existing watermains or other <br />pipes encountered. <br />8. Maintenance of existing storm mains. <br />9. Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of existing culverts, storm drainage pipe, <br />other utilities and structures affected by construction that are to remain. <br />10. Abandonment of existing storm piping, where indicated on the Plans, including cutting, draining <br />and properly disposing, and plugging pipe at each end with a minimum of 2-feet of Commercial <br />concrete or CDF. Include the concrete or CDF work with this work with no direct compensation <br />being made. <br />11. CCTV inspections and flushing and cleaning of the lines.
