This item includes coordination with the Engineer and Landscape Architect for <br />approval of the streambed cobble source prior to importing to the project. <br /> Stormwater Treatment - Unlined <br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br />Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.1. Payment for the lump sum item will be limited to <br />dimensions and work limits defined on the drawings or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. <br />The lump sum price includes excavation, scarifying the soils beneath the unlined treatment cell, fine <br />grading, placing screened fill material from the site, compacting, and fine grading, all items necessary <br />for installation of Cells 3, 4, & 5, of the stormwater treatment facility as shown on the plans, described <br />in the contract documents, and as directed by the Engineer. <br />The costs for mass excavating, screening, and temporarily storing soils for use in the unlined stormwater <br />treatment bay shall be paid for under bid item Structure Exc. Class A, Incl. Haul – SW Treatment and <br />no additional payment will be made for this work. <br />The costs for temporary irrigation and landscape installations are to be paid for under separate bid items <br />and are not included. <br /> Stormwater Treatment System <br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br />Measurements shall meet the requirements of 1-09.1. The unit price includes construction of the <br />complete Contech Filterra treatment system including shop submittals and system design, furnishing <br />all materials, equipment and labor to install mulch, media, drain rock, perforated pipe, including <br />perforated pipe branches, geosynthetic, risers, spacers, grate inlet and items not specifically listed but <br />necessary to complete the full stormwater treatment system in accordance with the drawings, Contract <br />documents, manufacturer’s recommendations and as directed by the Engineer. The unit cost includes <br />activation, O&M documents and first year’s inspection and maintenance by Contech. <br />The costs for geomembrane liner, temporary irrigation and landscape installations are to be paid for <br />under separate bid items and are not included. <br /> Stormwater Treatment Facility HDPE Liner <br />Measurement and Payment: Square Yard (SY) <br />Measurement shall be per square yard as measured from the treatment cell surface footprint plus 3 feet <br />on each of the four sides. The measurement does not include liner overlap. Measurements shall meet <br />the requirements of 1-09.1. Payment for the square yard measurement will be limited to dimensions <br />and work limits defined on the drawings or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. <br />The unit price includes installation of the geomembrane liner (including overlap), moldable sealant, <br />HDPE Tape, vertical penetration and pipe boots, HDPE embedment strips (welded with mitered <br />corners), liner bed sand and all items necessary for a complete liner system as shown on the plans, <br />described in the contract documents, per the manufacturer’s recommendations, and as directed by the <br />Engineer. <br /> Stormwater Treatment Facility Startup and Testing
