City of Everett AM Program Phase 1 | Scope of Work <br />6 <br />AM Program Ph1 <br />•Define guidelines for determining when to replace versus rehabilitate assets, incorporating <br />lifecycle cost and risk assessment considerations for vertical and linear assets. <br />•Facilitate one (1) virtual workshop to develop run-to-failure or R&R categorization and two (2) in- <br />person workshops to develop vertical and linear R&R logic for vertical and linear assets. <br />•Develop Asset Lifecycle Guideline table. <br />Task Assumptions <br />•Asset cost data is available or can be reasonably estimated. <br />•Asset Lifecycle Guidelines will be incorporated into the SAMP. <br />City Responsibilities <br />•Provide any existing information or guidelines on asset criticality or R&R logic. <br />•Participate in Asset Lifecycle workshop series. <br />Meetings <br />•One (1) 2-hour virtual workshop to develop run-to-failure or R&R categorization. The meeting will <br />be attended by three (3) Team members. <br />•One (1) 4-hour in-person workshop to develop vertical R&R logic. The meeting will be attended <br />by three (3) BC Team members. <br />•One (1) 4-hour in-person workshop to develop linear R&R logic. The meeting will be attended by <br />three (3) BC Team members. <br />Work Products <br />•Workshop agendas, presentation slides, and meeting minutes. <br />•Draft Asset Lifecycle Guideline table (for inclusion into the SAMP). <br />Task 205 – Maintenance Strategy <br />Objective: Develop overarching asset renewal and maintenance strategies and develop guidelines <br />for the City’s R&R asset classes to support consistent service delivery and extend asset life. <br />Activities/Approach: This task includes the following activities: <br />•Review existing documentation on City’s current maintenance strategies for R&R asset classes. <br />•Identify potential maintenance strategies for R&R asset classes without a defined approach. <br />•Facilitate two (2) workshops to confirm maintenance strategies and guidelines for R&R assets. <br />•Update Asset Lifecycle Guideline table to include maintenance strategies. <br />Task Assumptions <br />•There is existing documentation or institutional knowledge on maintenance strategies for <br />specific asset classes. <br />•Maintenance strategies will be applied to both new and existing assets <br />•Workshop participants will include staff familiar with asset operations and maintenance <br />planning. <br />•The maintenance strategy for R&R asset classes that aligns with asset criticality and lifecycle <br />guidelines (see Task 204) will be incorporated into the SAMP. <br />City Responsibilities <br />•Provide existing documentation on City’s existing maintenance strategies for R&R asset classes
