February 4, 2026 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The minutes of the January 28, 2026, meeting were approved. <br /> <br />The minutes of the January 31, 2026, special meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The following members of the public spoke: Kerri Lonergan-Dreke and William Parent. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Council Member Burbano commented on his attendance at the Board of Parks Commissioners <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy commented on her attendance at the Community Health and Safety <br />Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Weir commented on her attendance at the Cultural Arts Commission meeting, <br />a ride-along she took with the Fire Department, the Downtown Everett Association 2026 Kickoff <br />event, and the Health and Safe Community Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader provided an update from the Health and Safe Community Committee <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne commented on last weekend’s Council retreat. She also commented on <br />her attendance at the Downtown Everett Association 2026 Kickoff event and the Alliance for <br />Housing Affordability meeting. She shared that she was appointed to AWC’s Large City Advisory <br />Committee and reminded voters about the special election on Tuesday. <br /> <br />President Schwab stated he testified before the State Senate Ways and Means committee on <br />behalf of the City to support Municipal Fire Authorities and stated he would testify in support for <br />the companion House Bill tomorrow. He also thanked the Mayor, Council and staff for the <br />successful Council retreat. He also commented on his attendance at the Community Health and <br />Safety Committee meeting. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
