CITY OF EVERETT BID SET <br />EVERETT STATION HVAC AND CONTROLS IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROJECT NO. 24-3201 <br /> <br />01 31 13 -1 PROJECT COORDINATION <br /> <br />GENERAL <br />1.01 It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to coordinate all work to be performed under this contract. The <br />Contractor shall supervise and direct the work and determine the means, methods, techniques, sequences and <br />procedures of construction, except in those instances where the Owner, to define the quality of an item of work, <br />specifies in the contract, a means, method, technique, sequence or procedure for construction of that item of work. <br />1.02 The Contractor shall notify the Owner in writing of the name of the person who will act as the Contractor’s <br />representative and shall have the authority to act in matter relating to this contract. This person shall have the <br />authority to carry out the provisions of the contract and to supply materials, equipment, tools and labor without <br />delay for the performance of the work. <br />1.03 The Contractor agrees to permit entry to the site of the work by the Owner, its employees or other Contractors <br />performing work on behalf of the Owner. The Contractor shall afford to the Owner, other Contractors and their <br />employees, reasonable facilities and cooperation and shall arrange its work and dispose of its materials in such a <br />manner as to not interfere with the activities of the Owner or of other upon the site of work. The Contractor shall <br />promptly make good on any Contractor-caused injury or damage to persons or property that may be sustained by <br />other Contractors or employees of the Owner. The Contractor shall coordinate its work with that of others and <br />perform its work in proper sequence in relation to that of others. <br />1.04 If requested by the Contractor, the Owner will arrange meetings with other Contractors performing work on behalf of <br />the Owner to plan coordination of construction activities. The Contractor shall inform itself of the planned activities <br />of other Contractors and shall coordinate its work with the other Contractors. <br />1.05 Contractor shall notify the Owner of problems, interference or any difficulty with other Contractors or workers <br />engaged by the Owner. The notice shall be sufficiently prompt and specific so as to allow the Owner to mitigate or <br />avoid increased costs, time of performance, damages or injury. Contractor’s failure to provide such notice in a timely <br />way shall be deemed a waiver and release of any and all contract claims relating to, arising out of, or caused by, any <br />alleged interference, difficulty or problem with another Contractor or worker engaged by the Owner. <br />1.06 The Contractor shall keep the Owner advised of the progress of all work. <br />1.07 The Contractor shall be responsible for the adequacy, efficiency and sufficiency of subcontractors, manufacturers, <br />suppliers and their employees. <br />1.08 Contractor shall be responsible for the adequacy, efficiency and sufficiency of its employees. Workers shall have <br />sufficient knowledge, skill and experience to perform properly the work assigned to them. <br />1.09 Coordination between adjacent business that utilize the adjoining alley and easement shall be thru the Owner. Every <br />effort shall be made to reduce the impact of this project to any adjacent business. Access thru the alley and <br />easement is critical throughout this project. <br />1.10 The Contractor shall coordinate and work with the artists whom are performing work on the Owners’ behalf. <br />1.11 All tenants operating and performing business on the site shall be kept appraised of the work that is commencing. <br />Every effort shall be made to reduce the impacts of this project to the business operating on site. <br />PRODUCTS (NOT USED) <br />EXECUTION (NOT USED) <br />END OF SECTION 01 31 13
