CITY OF EVERETT BID SET <br />EVERETT STATION HVAC AND CONTROLS IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROJECT NO. 24-3201 <br /> <br />01 33 00 - 1 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES <br />GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION <br /> To ensure that the specified products are furnished and installed in accordance with the design intent, <br />procedures have been established for advance submittal of design data and for its review by the <br />Architect/Engineer. <br /> Electronic submittals of shop drawings or other documents required for approval may be substituted for <br />paper copies. Electronic submittals must be submitted utilizing current Adobe Software or as otherwise <br />approved by Owner. All electronic submittals shall be certified documents and digital signed showing <br />Contractors review, and stamp showing approval of submittal. All electronic submittals shall book marked. <br />A table of contents is required and shall be placed directly behind the cover page. Document properties shall <br />include the Job Name, Division (Section Number), and items included in submittal. Prior to use of Electronic <br />submittals, discuss with Owner, procedures and formatting including any additional contents to be included <br />within the document. <br /> Related Work: <br /> For individual submittals required, refer to the pertinent sections of these specifications. <br /> Section 00 72 00-2.4 <br /> Make all submittals required by the Contract Documents, revise and resubmit as required to <br />establish compliance with the specified requirements. <br /> Wherever possible throughout the Contract Documents, the minimum acceptable quality of <br />workmanship and materials has been defined by manufacturer’s description of required attributes <br />and performance. <br />1.02 PRODUCT HANDLING <br /> Make all submittals of shop drawings, samples, requests for substitution, and other similar items in strict <br />accordance with the provisions of this section of the specifications. <br />PRODUCTS <br />2.01 SHOP DRAWINGS <br /> Unless otherwise specifically directed otherwise, format all shop drawings to be formatted to fit on 11” x 17” <br />size paper. Make all shop drawings accurately to a scale sufficiently large enough to show all pertinent <br />features of the item and its method of connection to the work. <br /> The Contractor is required to review and approve all shop drawings prior to submitting to Owner for review. <br />All shop drawings received by Owner shall bear the Contractors stamp of approval. <br /> The Contractor shall provide the number of copies required for use by the contractor plus three (3) additional <br />copies to be retained by the Owner for all items of work as requested by Owner or as required by the contract <br />documents. The Owner or designee shall review and return all shop drawings to the Contractor within the <br />specified time but no later than twenty (20) working days of receipt. The review of the shop drawings by the <br />Owner or designee is for the limited purpose of checking for conformance with the design concept as <br />expressed in the Contract documents. The review of shop drawings by the Owner and/or Architect/Engineer <br />is not conducted for the purpose of determining the accuracy and completeness of other details such as <br />dimensions, quantities, installation instructions, or equipment performance, all of which remain the <br />responsibility of the Contractor.
